Forcibly deleting GAD pairs (for nonpaired volumes)
Use the Force Delete Pairs (GAD Pairs) window to forcibly delete the GAD pairs when:
- The volume is no longer a pair volume, but the previous pair information remains in the volume and it cannot be used as a volume for another pair.
- Cannot connect to the remote storage system due to a communication error. If you cannot connect to the remote storage system, forcibly delete the pair at the remote storage system as well.
If the volume is a pair volume (displayed on the GAD Pairs tab), forcibly delete the pair according to the procedure in Forcibly deleting GAD pairs (for paired volumes), even if connection to the remote storage system is not possible due to a communication error.
Before you begin
- Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required.
- The volume is a nonpaired (simplex) volume.
