TC pair operations
This topic provides instructions for performing TrueCopy pair operations.
- Parent Topic
- TrueCopy
TrueCopy® synchronous remote replication software duplicates data from one storage system to another at a remote location. TrueCopy® automates the recovery process and enables normal business operations to resume in minutes rather than hours or days following an outage at the primary site. TrueCopy software provides host-independent data replication, including heterogeneous replication capabilities for any type of data across long distances, without affecting application performance. Copies generated by replication software products can be used for the rapid recovery of production systems or the restart of production on disaster recovery systems following an outage. They can also be used for data warehousing, data mining, or data migration applications.

- Checking pair status
- Creating pairs
You create TrueCopy pairs to maintain an up-to-date copy of data in a volume.
- Splitting pairs
You split TrueCopy pairs when you migrate data, when you recover data, or when you perform tasks on TrueCopy pairs, like assigning pairs to consistency groups.
- Resynchronizing pairs
You resynchronize TrueCopy pairs when you recover data from a disaster or when you perform tasks on TrueCopy pairs, like assigning pairs to consistency groups.
- Deleting pairs
You delete a TrueCopy pair when you no longer need an up-to-date remote copy of the data or if you are recovering data from a disaster.
