Setting up the 3DC cascade configuration

Use the following procedure to set up a 3DC cascade configuration.

Procedure

  1. Install and set up TC and UR on the required systems.

  2. Create the TC pair on the primary storage system. See TrueCopy User Guide for instructions.

  3. When TC pair status is PAIR, create the UR pair on the storage system using the TC S-VOL as the UR P-VOL.

    Mirror ID must be set between 1 and 3.
    Note The UR operation is rejected by the system if TC pair status is not already PAIR.
