Registering pairs to a consistency group from the secondary storage system
To register GAD pairs to a consistency group from the secondary storage system (S-VOL is located in the local storage system), perform the following steps:
Procedure
In the storage system that contains the secondary volume, resynchronize the pairs without specifying the consistency group ID. When you resynchronize the pairs in the storage system that contains the secondary volume, the primary volume and the secondary volume are swapped (swap resync).
Suspend the GAD pairs in the storage system that contains the primary volume (the secondary volume before the swap resync).
In the storage system that contains the primary volume, resynchronize the pairs by specifying the consistency group ID.
