Caution on LUN ID notation

The default LUN ID format used in the Device Manager - Storage Navigator main window in Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G200, G400, G600 is decimal. You can change this format to hexadecimal when needed. The format of LUN IDs in the Device Manager - Storage Navigator secondary window in Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G200, G400, G600 is always decimal. You cannot change this format.

In comparison, the LUN ID format used in Device Manager - Storage Navigator in both USP V/VM and Virtual Storage Platform is hexadecimal.

If the hexadecimal format is selected in the Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G200, G400, G600, you can enter the USP V/VM or VSP LUN IDs as is. However, if the decimal format is set for LUN IDs in the Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G200, G400, G600, convert the LUN IDs to decimal format before entering them in Device Manager - Storage Navigator.

To switch the LUN ID notation of the Device Manager - Storage Navigator main window between decimal and hexadecimal, use the Edit Information Display Settings window See Edit Information Display Settings window.
