Setup workflow

When you begin setting up Universal Volume Manager, all planning tasks and considerations should be completed. Consult the planning workflow in the Hitachi Universal Volume Manager User Guide to review.

Set up external volumes as follows:

To edit certain mapping settings prior to the mapping operation, see Editing mapping policies . Otherwise, you can make changes during the operation or accept the default settings.

Map the external volume as the internal volume.
