Sending a test email
After configuring email notification, you can send a test email to confirm your settings.
Prerequisites
You must have the Storage Administrator (Initial Configuration) role to perform this task.
The Email alert notification settings must be completely configured before you begin.
The Syslog alert notification settings must be completely configured before you begin.
Procedure
In Hitachi Command Suite:
In the Resources tab, click Storage Systems, expand the storage system tree, and select Maintenance Utility under Local Storage System.
In the Management tree, select Alert Notifications.
In Device Manager - Storage Navigator
In the Maintenance Utility menu, select Alert Notifications.
In the Alert Notifications window, send a test email from the tab shown below.
