Setting copy back mode
The Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required to perform this task.
Perform one of following to display the Edit Copy-Back Mode window.
For Hitachi Command Suite:
On the Resource tab, expand the Storage Systems tree. Right click Parity Groups of the target storage system. Click Operation, then Edit Copy-Back Mode.
For Storage Navigator:
On the Parity Groups tab, select the parity group to which defines the copy back mode.
To display the Parity Groups tab, perform one of following:
(1) In the storage system tree, select Parity Groups, then select the Parity Groups tab.
(2) In the storage system tree, expand Parity Groups select Internal or External, then select the Parity Groups tab.
To display the Edit Copy-Back Mode window, perform one of following:
(1) Click More Actions, then select Edit Copy-Back Mode.
(2) Click Actions > Parity Group > Edit Copy-Back Mode to open the window.
In the Edit Copy-Back Mode window, check Enable or Disable.
Enable: When a failed drive recovered, data which has been copied to the spare drive returns to the recovered drive.
Disable: when a failed drive recovered, data which has been copied to the spare drive still exist in the spare drive.
Click Finish.
In the Confirm window, confirm the settings, in Task Name type a unique name for this task or accept the default, then click Apply.
If Go to tasks window for status is checked, the Tasks window opens.
