Parity group and volume
When added drives because the free space of LDEV is short, the free space can be increased in the storage system by configuring RAID. VSP G200, G400, G600 supports RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID6.
In one parity group, a maximum of 2,048 fixed-size volumes (FVs) and a certain amount of free space are available. Maximum number of LDEVs in the storage system are as follows:
Virtual Storage Platform G600 or Virtual Storage Platform G400: 4,096
Virtual Storage Platform G200: 2,048
