Deleting an SNMP Manager IP address and community for GET REQUEST and GETNEXT REQUEST operations

This topic describes how to delete an SNMP Manager IP address and a community for accepting GET REQUEST and GETNEXT REQUEST operations.

Prerequisites

You must have the Storage Administrator (the Initial Configuration) role to perform this task.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Alert Notifications window in the Maintenance Utility.

In Hitachi Command Suite:

  1. On the Resources tab, click Storage Systems, and then expand the Storage Systems tree.

  1. Expand the target storage system, and then select Maintenance Utility.

  1. In the Maintenance Utility window, select Administration > Alert Notifications.

In Device Manager - Storage Navigator:

  1. Display the Device Manager - Storage Navigator main window.

  1. From the Maintenance Utility menu, select Alert Notifications.

  1. In the Alert Notifications window, click Set Up.

  1. In the Set Up Alert Notifications window, select the SNMP tab.

  1. Under SNMP Managers, select one or more unwanted IP addresses from the list, and then click Delete.

  1. If you want to delete a community, then select one or more unwanted communities from the list under Trap Destination, and then click Delete.

Skip this step if you need to keep communities used for trap destination.

  1. Confirm the settings, and then click Apply.
