Recognizing the local system from the external system

Though the local and external systems are connected, the external system may not recognize the local system. If desired, you can try to make this happen by performing the Discover External Target Ports operation. See Adding an external path to an existing path group for instructions. If the path does not become mapped after 15 minutes, though, the external system might not be able to recognize the local system.
