Suspending GAD pairs by consistency group

You can suspend all of the GAD pairs registered to a consistency group at the same time.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. In the Storage Systems tree, select Replication, and then Remote Replication.

  1. In the GAD Consistency Groups tab, select the consistency group to be suspended, and then click Suspend Consistency Groups.

  1. Make sure the consistency group to be suspended appears in the Selected Consistency Groups table.

  1. In the Confirm window, check the settings you made, and then enter the task name for Task Name.

  1. Click Apply.

The task is registered. If the Go to tasks window for status check box is selected, the Tasks window appears.

Next steps

After suspending pairs by consistency group, in the Remote Replication window, make sure the pair status of all the GAD pairs registered to the consistency group is PSUS (if the pair was suspended from the storage system at the primary site) or SSWS (if the pair was suspended from the storage system at the secondary site).

To check the status of pairs that are being suspended by consistency group, click the refresh button in the top right corner of the main window of Storage Navigator to refresh the information in the Remote Replication window, or display the detailed information in the Consistency Group Properties window.
