Changing system options that affect Thin Image performance

You can set the system options that affect Thin Image performance using Device Manager - Storage Navigator, as described here, or RAID Manager.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Replication window.

In Hitachi Command Suite:

  1. On the Resources tab, click Storage Systems, and then expand the storage system tree.

  1. Right-click the target storage system, and then select Replication Dashboard.

In Device Manager - Storage Navigator:

  1. In the Explorer pane, click Storage Systems, expand the storage system tree, and then click Replication.

  1. In the Replication window, click Edit Options > Local Replication.

  1. (VSP G1000, G1500, and VSP F1500) In the Edit Local Replica Options window of the Edit Local Replica Options wizard, for System Type, confirm that Open is selected.

Default: Open

  1. In the SI/TI System Options table, select the system option you want to change, and then click Enable or Disable.

  1. Click Finish, and then confirm the settings.

  1. Accept the default task name or enter a unique name.

You can enter up to 32 letters, numbers, and symbols, except the following:

\ / : , ; * ? " < > |

  1. If you want to monitor the task after submitting it, select Go to tasks window for status.

  1. Click Apply to submit the task.
