Switching off the power supply

Use this workflow to switch off the power supply.

  1. Stop the host I/O.
  2. Switch off the power supply.

When power is restored, the behavior of Thin Image depends on the following:

  • The power supply and having data in shared memory.
  • The power supply and losing data in shared memory.

    You can create Thin Image data pools using HDvM - SN. A Thin Image pool must be created when you use either a V-VOL or a DP-VOL as an S-VOL of Thin Image.

    You can create a Thin Image pair and define the pair in a consistency group. You can create 1,024 Thin Image pairs at the same time for , and 32,768 for VSP G200, G400, G600, G800. To create more than 1,024 (or 32,768) pairs, repeat this task.
