Creating point-in-time copies
Universal Replicator allows you to make Point-in-Time (PiT) copies of volumes in the same journal. Point-in-Time describes a copy of data made when you it.
Before you begin
- Review the prerequisite information (in "Before you begin") in Splitting a UR pair .
Procedure

Stop all write I/Os from hosts to P-VOLs in the journal.

Split the mirror. Make sure to specify Flush for Split Mode.

When the status of all pairs in the journal changes to PSUS, the operation is completed. Resume write I/O to the P-VOLs.
