Changing the asymmetric access status

You can define the preferred path when a server and a storage system are connected in the cross-path configuration using the Edit Asymmetric Access States window.

Prerequisite information

Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required.

Procedure

In the Storage Systems tree, select Ports/Host Groups/iSCSI Targets.

Open the Edit Asymmetric Access States window by performing one of the following methods:

On the Host Groups tab, select the checkbox for the host group of which asymmetric access status you want to edit, and then click More Actions > Edit Asymmetric Access States.

Select a port from Ports/Host Groups. On the Host Groups tab, select the checkbox for the host group for which you want to edit the asymmetric access status, and then click More Actions > Edit Asymmetric Access States.

From the Actions menu, select Port/Host Groups > Fibre > Edit Asymmetric Access States.

Select Asymmetric Access States.

Click Finish.

Check the settings in the confirmation window, and then enter the task name in Task Name.

Click Apply.

The task is registered, and if Go to tasks window for status was selected, the Tasks window appears.
