Delete Mode |
Specify the deletion mode.
If you select Force, the pair is deleted, even if the local storage system cannot communicate with the remote storage system. The server waiting for the device-end (I/O completion signal) from the local storage system that is not able to communicate with the remote storage system is released, and then you can continue to operate the server. Note: You can select Force only when the I/O mode of both the primary volume and the secondary volume is Block. If you want to delete the GAD pair forcibly when the I/O mode is other than block, contact for assistance. Note: If you select Force, the GAD pair must be removed from the storage system both at the primary site and at the secondary site. When the server can access both volumes, if you delete the pair forcibly with the Volume Access option specified as Enable, data failure might occur because the contents of each volume are not the same. Therefore, delete the pair according to the following procedure:
