Restoring blocked LDEVs
The Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required to perform this task.
Perform one of the following to display the tab.
For Hitachi Command Suite:
On the Resource tab, expand the Storage Systems tree. Right-click Volumes of the target storage system, then select System GUI. Displays the LDEVs tab.
For Storage Navigator:
Expand the Storage Systems tree, and select Parity Groups > Internal or External > each parity group. Display the LDEVs tab.
Expand the Storage Systems tree and select Logical Devices. Display the LDEVs tab.
Expand the Storage Systems tree and select Pools. Display the Virtual Volumes tab.
If Blocked appears in the Status column, use the following steps to restore the LDEV.
If Blocked does not appear in the column, skip the remaining steps.
Select the LDEV.
You can select multiple LDEVs that are listed together or separately.
Open the Restore LDEVs window in one of two ways.
Click More Actions > Restore LDEVs.
From the Actions menu, select Logical Device > Restore LDEVs.
Note the settings in the Confirm window and enter a unique Task Name or accept the default. Then, click Apply.
If Go to tasks window for status is checked, the Tasks window opens.
If Provisioning Type of the LDEV is Basic, the processing time increases by approximately 5 seconds on the basis of the Parity Group ID which contains the LDEV.
