Deleting a host bus adapter from a host group
The Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required to perform this task.
Perform one of the following to display the Hosts tab.
For Hitachi Command Suite:
On the Resource tab, expand the Storage Systems tree. On the target storage system, click Port / Host Group. On the Ports / Host Groups / iSCSI Targets window, select the Hosts tab.
For Storage Navigator:
To display all hosts in the storage system, expand the Storage Systems tree and select Ports / Hosts Groups / iSCSI Targets. Select the Hosts tab.
To display hosts related to each port, expand the Storage Systems tree and select Ports / Hosts Groups / iSCSI Targets. Select the port in the tree, and select the Hosts tab.
To display hosts related to each host group, expand the Storage Systems tree and select Ports / Hosts Groups / iSCSI Targets and the port. Select the host group, and select the Hosts tab.
Select the check box of the host to be deleted.
Select Remove Hosts.
Click Remove Hosts.
Click More Actions, then select Remove Hosts(Fibre).
From the Actions menu, select Ports/Host Groups, Fibre, then Remove Hosts.
In the Remove Hosts window, if necessary, check Remove selected hosts from all host groups containing the hosts in the storage system.
If this check box is selected, selected hosts are removed from all host groups containing the hosts in the storage system.
Click Finish.
In the Confirm window, confirm the settings, in Task Name type a unique name for this task or accept the default, then click Apply.
A message appears asking whether to delete it.
If Go to tasks window for status is checked, the Tasks window opens.
Click OK to close a message.
