Setting the Fibre Channel port address
The Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required to perform this task.
When configuring your storage system, set addresses for Fibre Channel ports. When addressing Fibre Channel ports, use AL-PA (arbitrated-loop physical address) or loop IDs as the addresses. See Addresses for Fibre Channel ports for information about available addresses.
Perform one of the following to display the Ports / Host Groups / iSCSI Targets tab.
For Command Suite:
On the Resource tab, expand the Storage Systems tree. On the target storage system, click Port / Host Group.
For Storage Navigator:
In the storage system tree, select Ports / Host Groups / iSCSI Targets.
Select the Ports tab.
Select the desired port.
Select Edit Ports.
In the Edit Ports window, select the Address (Loop ID) check box, then select the address.
Click Finish.
In the Confirm window, confirm the settings, in Task Name type a unique name for this task or accept the default, then click Apply.
If Go to tasks window for status is checked, the Tasks window opens.
