Defining LU paths

The Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required to perform this task.

To define LU paths:

1. Perform one of the following to display the Add LUN Paths window.

For Command Suite:

• On the Resource tab, expand the Storage Systems tree. On the target storage system, click Port / Host Group. On the Host Groups / iSCSI Targets tab, click Add LUN Paths.

For Storage Navigator:

• On the General Tasks in Device Manager - Storage Navigator, select Add LUN Paths.

• In the Storage Systems tree, click Ports / Hosts Groups / iSCSI targets. On the Host Groups / iSCSI Targets tab, click the Add LUN Paths.

• In the Storage Systems tree, expand the Ports / Hosts Groups / iSCSI Targets node and select the port. On the Host Groups / iSCSI Targets tab, click the Add LUN Paths.

• In the Storage Systems tree, expand the Ports / Hosts Groups / iSCSI Targets node and select each port and each iSCSI target. On the LUN tab, click the Add LUN Paths.

• Expand the Storage Systems tree and select Ports/Hosts Groups/iSCSI Targets. Click Actions > Logical Device > Add LUN Paths to open the window.

2. Select the desired LDEVs from the Available LDEVs table, then click Add.

Selected LDEVs are listed in the Selected LDEVs table.

3. Click Next.

4. In Selection Object, click iSCSI.

5. Select the desired iSCSI targets from the Available iSCSI Targets table, then click Add.

Selected iSCSI targets are listed in the Selected iSCSI Targets table. If you select a row and click Detail, the iSCSI Target Properties window appears.

6. Click Next.

7. Confirm the defined LU paths.

• To change the LU path settings, click Change LUN IDs and type the LUN ID that you want to change.

• To change the LDEV name, click Change LDEV Settings. In the Change LDEV Settings window, change the LDEV name.

8. Click Finish.

9. In the Confirm window, confirm the settings, in Task Name type a unique name for this task or accept the default, then click Apply.

If Go to tasks window for status is checked, the Tasks window opens.
