- Fiber cable connection. Make sure the fiber cable is connected correctly. - Fibre Channel port settings. The topology settings of the external port and the target port might not match. Use LUN Manager to make sure that the Fibre Channel ports are set properly. - Switch settings. If the external storage system is connected through switches, make sure that the switch settings are correct.
