Notes: Includes LUN security function. To use Server Priority Manager, you must install the Performance Monitor. For VSP G400, G600, G800, you must estimate the total pool capacity. For VSP G800, you must estimate the normal volume. If you are using a Dynamic Provisioning, active flash, or Dynamic Tiering V-VOL as a P-VOL or S-VOL, license capacity is calculated by using the capacity of pages allocated to the V-VOL (capacity which the pool uses). To use Universal Replicator, you must install TrueCopy. For VSP G800, you must estimate the normal volume. For the normal volume, if you are using a Dynamic Provisioning, active flash, or Dynamic Tiering V-VOL as a P-VOL or S-VOL, license capacity is calculated by using the capacity of pages allocated to the V-VOL (capacity which the pool uses). To use Dynamic Tiering, you must install Dynamic Provisioning. For VSP G800, you must estimate the total pool capacity. To use Remote Replication Extended, you must install Universal Replicator.

Before using Volume Migration, contact customer support.

A model upgrade license is required when upgrading from VSP G200 or VSP G400 to VSP G600.

If you purchased VSP G200 or VSP G600, a model upgrade license is already installed.

Active flash is not included in Hitachi Data Mobility. Dynamic Provisioning and Dynamic Tiering must also be installed to use active flash. For Virtual Storage Platform G800, the amount pool capacity needs to be estimated.

Dedupe and compression is a license which is required to use the capacity saving function. To use the license, you need to install Dynamic Provisioning.

VSP G400, G600, and VSP G800 cannot be changed to VSP F400, F600, or VSP F800.
