Troubleshooting Dynamic Provisioning
The following table provides troubleshooting information for Dynamic Provisioning.

The Protect attribute of Data Retention Utility can have been set to DP-VOLs. After performing above solutions, release the Protect attribute of the DP-VOLs. |

SIM code 624000 was issued. |

|
Formatted pool capacity displayed in the View Pool Management Status window does not increase. |
Causes:
Solutions:

|
Deduplication is set to Enable when creating pools, but a deduplication system data volume cannot be created. |
Solution: In the Edit Pools window, set Enable for Deduplication. |
|
A deduplication system data volume is deleted because the setting of Deduplication is changed from Enable to Disable. Then you delete the pool, but the pool cannot be deleted. |
Solution: Perform the operation again using the Delete Pools window. |
|
The deduplication setting on a pool cannot be changed. |
Solution: Perform the operation again using the Edit Pools window. |
|
The capacity saving setting is defined when creating DP-VOLs, but the processing stops. |
Solution: Perform the operation using the Edit LDEVs window. |
|
The processing stops when Capacity Saving Status is Enabling, Rehydrating, or Deleting Volume. |
Solution: Disable the Capacity Saving setting for the LDEV, and then perform the operation again using the Edit LDEVs window. |
