Enabling Java for secondary windows

Device Manager - Storage Navigator secondary windows require Java. We recommend using the most recent version of Java.

 When updating Java:

• You must log out of Device Manager - Storage Navigator, close all browser windows, and then log back in.

• If you select Do not ask again until the next update is available, and then click Update or Block, you cannot use the Device Manager - Storage Navigator secondary window.

Procedure

1. Log out of Device Manager - Storage Navigator.

2. Start Java Control Panel.

• In Windows, from Windows Control Panel, double-click the Java icon.

• In Unix, run one of the following executable files:

SDK-directory/jre/bin/ControlPanel

SDK-directory/jre/ControlPanel

JDK-directory/jre/ControlPanel

• Alternatively, use a web browser to display one of the following Control Panel pages:

SDK-directory/jre/ControlPanel.html

JDK-directory/ControlPanel.html

3. In Java Control Panel, click the Security tab.

4. Perform one of the following:

If Enable Java content in the browser is selected:

1. Clear the check box, and then click Apply.

2. Select the check box, and then click Apply.

If Enable Java content in the browser is not selected:

1. Select the check box, and then click Apply.

5. Click OK.

6. Log in to Device Manager - Storage Navigator.
