Rekeying key encryption keys

If you create key encryption keys on the key management server, use the following procedure to rekey key encryption keys.

After rekeying key encryption keys, it is recommended that you back up each key.

Use the following procedure to rekey key encryption keys.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Open the Encryption Keys window.

In Hitachi Command Suite:

  1. On the Resources tab, click Storage Systems, and then expand All Storage Systems.

  1. Expand the target storage system, and then select Encryption Keys.

In Device Manager - Storage Navigator:

  1. Display the Device Manager - Storage Navigator main window.

  1. Select Administration in Explorer, and select Encryption Keys.

  1. On the Encryption Keys tab, select the key ID for the data encryption key information you want to output from the Encryption Keys table.

  1. Click More Actions > Rekey Key Encryption Keys.

  1. In the Rekey Key Encryption Key window, confirm the settings, and enter your task name in Task Name.

If you want the Task window to open after you click Apply, select Go to tasks window for status.

Click Apply.
