Parameters

Name Meaning

OID

Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.

Type

Indicates the mDNS record type.

Threshold

Indicates the percentage of current mDNS records to the maximum number of mDNS records that can be generated on the device.

Current

Indicates the number of current mDNS records.

Spec

Indicates the maximum number of mDNS records that can be generated on the device.

Impact on the System

None

Possible Causes

The number of mDNS records exceeds the alarm threshold.

Procedure

  1. Run the display mdns service type all command and check the Service Type field in the command output to determine whether the device has learned unnecessary mDNS services.
    • If so, go to 2.
    • If not, go to 3.
  2. Run the mdns permit service-type command to configure a service type that can be recorded by the mDNS gateway and wait until the corresponding mDNS record reaches its aging time. You can run the mdns gateway max ttl command to set the maximum aging time of mDNS services on the device.
    • If the number of mDNS records falls below the alarm threshold after a period of time, the device has learned unnecessary mDNS services. The fault is rectified.
    • If the number of mDNS records does not fall below the alarm threshold or even does not decrease, go to 3.
  3. Collect the alarm, log, and configuration information and contact Huawei technical support.
