Merging Licenses

Context

If a device needs to be deactivated for maintenance or other reasons, you can merge the license of the device with that of another device. This makes full use of existing license resources to maintain service capabilities.

Procedure

  1. Obtain the revocation codes of the deactivated and target devices.
  2. Log in to the ESDP website, and choose License Commissioning and Maintenance > Network Adjust > Equipment(Node) Merge.

  3. Set Application Stage to Before PAC and Application Mode to With revocation code (approval not required).
  4. Click Equipment (Node) next to Equipment (Node) to Merge. On the displayed dialog box, enter the revoke codes of the deactivated and target devices (use a semicolon (;) to separate the revoke codes) and click Search. Select the revocation codes and click Confirm.
  5. Select the target device from the Target Equipment(Node) drop-down list, as shown in the following figure.

  6. Check the license change and click Approve to start the license merging task.
  7. Choose My Task > Operation Record to check the task status. When Status becomes Success, click Download to obtain the merged license file.
