Description

ARP/4/ARP_LEARNSTOP_TRAP:OID [OID] ARP learning stopped because the memory usage reached the threshold. (Slot index=[INTEGER], Threshold=[COUNTER]).

When a board memory usage reached the threshold (Board memory restart threshold - 1), the board stopped leaning ARP entries. For example, the 1 GB memory restart threshold is 90%, and the 2 GB memory restart threshold is 95%. When the memory usage of a board with a 1 GB memory installed reaches 89%, the alarm is generated. When the memory usage of a board with a 2 GB memory installed reaches 94%, the alarm is generated.

OID

Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.

Slot index

Indicates the index of the board that reports the alarm.

Threshold

Indicates the alarm threshold.

Impact on the System

Possible Causes

The board memory usage reached the threshold (Board memory restart threshold - 1) so that the board stopped learning ARP entries.
