Description

POE/4/PDCLASSOVERCURRENT: OID [oid] has detected a classfication overcurrent PD and power denied.(IfIndex=[INTEGER], Interface="[OCTET]")

The system detects that overcurrent occurs during PD classification and does not provide power for PDs.

Possible Causes

The PD does not comply with standards.

Procedure

  1. You can run the poe high-inrush enable slot slot-id command in the system view to configure an interface to allow generation of the high pulse current. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, go to step 4.
    • If not, go to step 2.

  2. Replace the PD and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, go to step 4.
    • If not, go to step 3.

  3. Contact technical support personnel.
  4. End.
