Impact on the System

PDs may fail to be powered on because of insufficient PoE power.

Possible Causes

The RPS power is the hot backup power for PoE devices and provides full power for a maximum of two PoE switches. If there are more than two PoE switches, the remaining PoE switches generate an alarm, indicating that the RPS power cannot provide full PoE power.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the RPS power has 4815 power modules fully installed. If not, fully install 4815 power modules on the RPS power. If so, this alarm is informational only, and no action is required.
