WLAN/4/AP_OPTICAL_RX_POWER_TOO_HIGH:OID [oid] AP optical module received power is too high notify. (APMAC=[OPAQUE], APName=[STRING], ApIfIndex=[INTEGER], Ap Optical RxPower=[INTEGER](0.1uw), ApEntityPhysicalName=[OCTET], APID=[INTEGER])

The receive power of the AP's optical module is higher than the upper power threshold.

Parameters

Name Meaning
OID Indicates the ID of the MIB object.
APMAC Indicates the MAC address of an AP.
APName Indicates the AP name.
ApIfIndex Indicates the index of the AP interface on which the optical module is installed.

Only the AD9430DN-24 and AD9431DN-24X support this object.
Ap Optical RxPower Indicates the current receive power of the AP's optical module.
ApEntityPhysicalName Indicates the name of the AP interface on which the optical module is installed.

Only the AD9430DN-24 and AD9431DN-24X support this object.
APID Indicates the AP ID.

Impact on the System

Services on the optical module are adversely affected, which probably leads to error codes, error packets, or even service interruption.

This alarm applies to Huawei certified optical modules only. For non-Huawei-certified optical modules, incorrect alarms may be generated.

Possible Causes

The receive power of the AP's optical module is higher than the upper power threshold.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the type of the peer optical module matches that of the local optical module. For detailed matching rules, see Hardware Failures > Interface Faults > An Optical Interface Cannot Turn Up in the Hardware Installation and Maintenance Guide of the corresponding AP model.

    • If so, go to Step 3.
    • If not, go to Step 2.

  2. Replace the peer optical module with one matching the type of the local one. Then, check whether the alarm persists.

    • If so, go to Step 3.
    • If not, go to Step 6.

  3. Check whether the optical module is a Huawei certified optical module.

    • If so, go to Step 5.
    • If not, go to Step 4.

  4. Replace the optical module with a Huawei certified optical module. Then, check whether the alarm persists.

    • If so, go to Step 5.
    • If not, go to Step 6.

  5. Collect alarm messages, log messages, and configurations, and then contact the technical support personnel.
  6. End.
