WLAN/4/ROGUE_DEVICE_DETECT:OID [oid] Rogue device is detected notify.( APName=[OCTET], RadioID=[INTEGER], APMAC=[OPAQUE], RogueDeviceMAC=[OPAQUE], RogueDeviceSSID=[STRING], RogueDeviceType=[INTEGER], RogueDeviceRSSI=[INTEGER], RogueDeviceChannelID=[INTEGER], APID=[INTEGER])

The alarm is generated when the AP detects a rougue device.

Name Meaning
OID Indicates the ID of the MIB object.

APName

Indicates the name of a monitoring AP.
RadioID Indicates the radio ID of a monitoring AP.
APMAC Indicates the MAC address of a monitoring AP.
RogueDeviceMAC Indicates the MAC address of the detected rogue device.
RogueDeviceSSID Indicates the BSSID of the detected rogue device.
RogueDeviceType Indicates the type of the detected rogue device (1 indicates that the rogue device is an AP).
RogueDeviceRSSI Indicates the RSSI of the detected rogue device.
RogueDeviceChannelID Indicates the channel of the detected rogue device.
APID Indicates the AP ID.

Possible Causes

The AP detected a rogue AP.

Procedure

  1. Find the rogue device and remove it from the network.

    • If the alarm persists, go to Step 2.
    • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 3.

  2. Collect alarm messages, log messages, and configurations, and then contact the technical support personnel.
  3. End.
