Description

WLAN/4/ROAM_CHANNEL_UTIL_EXCEED_THRESHOLD:OID [oid] AP roam channelutilization exceed threshold notify. (APMAC=[OPAQUE], RadioID=[INTEGER], APName=[OCTET],ChannelUtil=[INTEGER], APID=[INTEGER])

The AP generates the alarm when the channel usage by the roaming STAs exceeds the alarm threshold.

OID Indicates the ID of the MIB object.
APMAC Indicates the MAC address of an AP.

Indicates the AP name.

Impact on the System

New users cannot roam to the AP.

Possible Causes

The channel usage exceeds the alarm threshold when users roam to the AP.

Procedure

  1. Run the uac channel-utilization threshold threshold access access-threshold [ roam roam-threshold ] command in the radio profile view to increase the upper limit on the number of roaming users. Then, check whether the alarm persists.

    • If so, go to Step 2.
    • If not, go to Step 3.

  2. Collect alarm messages, log messages, and configurations, and then contact the technical support personnel.
  3. End.
