Possible Causes

The length of the forwarded LSP was greater than the interface MTU.

Procedure

  1. Run the display ip interface interface-type interface-number command to check the interface MTU, namely the Maximum Transmit Unit field value.
  2. Run the display current-configuration configuration isis command to check the LSP length set in the IS-IS process. The lsp-length originate field value indicates that maximum LSP length. If the LSP length is not found in the command output, the default LSP length is used. By default, the maximum length of an LSP generated in an IS-IS process is 1497 bytes.
  3. Enter the IS-IS view, and run the lsp-length originate command to change the LSP length to be smaller than the interface MTU.
  4. Then check whether the trap is cleared.
    • If the trap is cleared, go to Step 6.
    • If the trap is not cleared, go to Step 5.
  5. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
  6. End.
