Parameters

Name Meaning

oid

Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.

NbrIntIndex

Neighbor index.

NbrAddrType

Neighbor address type. The value is of inetAddressType. Currently, only the following types are supported:
  • 1: IPv4 address

  • 2: IPv6 address

NbrAddr

Neighbor address.

NbrUpTime

Time during which the neighbor relationship has been maintained.

NbrIntName

Name of the neighbor's interface.

InstanceID

ID of the instance to which the neighbor's interface belongs.

InstanceName

Name of the instance to which the neighbor's interface belongs.

NeighborLossReason

Reason for the neighbor loss.
  • 1: The neighbor timed out.

  • 7: A Hello packet with HoldTime being 0 was received.

  • 8: The BFD session went down.

  • 9: It was caused by a user operation.

Impact on the System

The PIM neighbor relationship will be interrupted, affecting multicast services.

Possible Causes

Cause 1:

The timer of the PIM neighbor expired.

Cause 2:

The wireless access controller received a Hello packet with the Holdtime field being 0.

Procedure

  1. Run the display pim interface interface-type interface-number command on the neighbor to check whether PIM is enabled on the interface connected to the local wireless access controller.

    • If so, go to Step 3.

    • If not, go to Step 2.

  2. Run the pim dm or pim sm command on the interface connected to the local wireless access controller to enable PIM. Run the display pim neighbor neighbor-address command on the neighbor to check whether the PIM neighbor relationship has been established with the local wireless access controller.

    • If so, go to Step 7.

    • If not, go to Step 3.

  3. Run the display ip routing-table ip-address command on the neighbor to check whether the neighbor has a route to the local wireless access controller.

    • If so, go to Step 6.

    • If not, go to Step 4.

  4. Rectify the unicast route fault. After the route becomes reachable, run the display pim neighbor neighbor-address command on the neighbor to check whether the PIM neighbor relationship is established with the local wireless access controller.

    • If so, go to Step 7.

    • If not, go to Step 5.

  5. If the alarm was triggered by manual deletion of an interface, the alarm cannot be automatically cleared. To clear it manually, run the clear alarm active { all | sequence-number sequence-number } command.

    • If so, go to step 7.
    • If not, go to step 6.

  6. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
  7. End.
