current number [INTEGER] Indicates the number of current SFTP users.
maximum [INTEGER] Indicates the maximum number of SFTP users supported by the SFTP server.

Impact on the System

The number of VTY connections to the SFTP server reached the maximum value and new connection requests were denied.

Possible Causes

New users still request to connect to the SFTP server on which the number of VTY connections has reached the maximum value.

Procedure

  1. Run the display user-interface command to check the number of VTY users.

    • If the number of VTY users has reached the maximum value, go to step 2.

    • If the number of VTY users has not reached the maximum value, go to step 4.

    • SFTP users use SSH to establish connections with the SFTP server through VTY channels. If all VTY channels have been occupied, new SFTP users cannot connect to the server.
    • Run the display user-interface maximum-vty command to check the maximum number of VTY users allowed.

  2. Wait until one VTY user disconnects from the server or run the user-interface maximum-vty command to change the maximum number of VTY users.
  3. Run the sftp command to set up new SFTP connections.
  4. Contact technical support personnel.
  5. End.
