Parameters

Name Meaning

OID

Indicates the ID of the MIB object.

APMAC

Indicates the MAC address of an AP.

RadioID

Indicates the radio ID.

APName

Indicates the AP name.

PER

Indicates the packet error rate on the wireless-side interface.

RetransmissionRate

Indicates the retransmission rate of a radio.

APID

Indicates the AP ID.

NoiseFloor

Indicates the noise floor value detected in the current environment.

Reason

Indicates the reason of the alarm.

  • ConflictRate: High retransmission rate

In this case, you only need to pay attention to the parameter RetransmissionRate. Other parameters with the value 0 can be ignored.

  • Noise: High noise floor

In this case, you only need to pay attention to the parameter NoiseFloor. Other parameters with the value 0 can be ignored.

  • BadChannel: Channel deterioration

In this case, you only need to pay attention to the parameter BadChannel. Other parameters with the value 0 can be ignored.

  • InterferenceRate: High interference rate

In this case, you only need to pay attention to the parameter InterferenceRate. Other parameters with the value 0 can be ignored.

BadChannel

Indicates the bad channel.

InterferenceRate

Indicates the interference rate.

Impact on the System

The frequency band of a radio is changed.

Possible Causes

  • Cause 1: The radio signal environment deteriorates. The AP automatically switches the frequency band and sends a message to the AC, which will update related attributes.
  • Cause 2: The AC switches the radio.
  • Cause 3: The AP detects that the number of Beacon Miss events reaches the threshold and notifies the AC.

Procedure

  1. Run the display ap neighbor command to view the neighboring radio, and check whether there are APs using the same or neighboring radio.

    • If so, run the channel command to reconfigure a channel or power for this radio to avoid the signal interference. Then go to 2.

    • If not, go to 3.

  2. Check whether a radio signal environment restoration alarm is generated.

    • If so, go to 6.

    • If not, go to 3.

  3. Check whether there are devices that interfere with the radio signal or make noises.

    • If so, remove these devices and then go to 4.

    • If not, go to 5.

  4. Check whether a radio signal environment restoration alarm is generated.

    • If so, go to 6.

    • If not, go to 5.

  5. Collect the alarm information, log information, and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
  6. End.
