MSTP/4/PROEDGEDISABLE:OID [oid] When the port receives a BPDU packet, the edged-port attribute will be disabled. The edge port of MSTP process lost the attributes of an edge port after receiving BPDUs.

Possible Causes

In the MSTP process, the edge port received BPDUs.

Procedure

Check whether the interface should be specified as an edge port.
- If so, go to Step 2.
- If not, go to Step 3.
Locate the source of the BPDUs on the interface and check whether the malicious attack exists.
- If so, go to Step 4.
- If not, go to Step 3.
Run the undo stp edged-port command and then the undo shutdown command in the interface view to delete the configuration of the edge port and restart the interface. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.
- If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 5.
- If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 4.
Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
