Description

VRRP/2/VRRPVIRTUALIPCONFLICT: OID [oid] VRRP detects a virtual IP address conflict. (VrrpIfIndex=[INTEGER], VrId=[INTEGER], InetAddrType=[INTEGER], IPAddress=[OCTET], IfName=[STRING])

The primary virtual IP address of the VRRP group became the same as the secondary one.

  • 1: VRRP4 group

IP address of the interface on which a VRRP group is configured

Name of the interface on which a VRRP group is configured

Impact on the System

VRRP negotiation fails, which may cause a traffic interruption.

Possible Causes

The primary virtual IP address of the VRRP group became the same as the secondary one.

Procedure

  1. Run the vrrp vrid virtual-ip command to change the secondary virtual IP address to be different from the primary one. Alternatively, reconfigure the VRRP group.
