Function

The interface tunnel command creates a tunnel interface and enter the tunnel interface view.

The undo interface tunnel command deletes the specified tunnel interface.

Format

interface tunnel interface-number

undo interface tunnel interface-number

Parameters

interface-number	Specifies the number of a tunnel interface.	The value is an integer that ranges from 0 to 8191.

Usage Guidelines

By default, no tunnel interface is configured.

When a tunnel interface serves as the GRE interface, IPv4/IPv6 is in the UP state only after you configure a source IP address, destination address, and route for the interface.
