Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Change or upgrade the license file when the current license file is outdated or needs higher specifications and more features. The initial state of a license file is inactive and the patch file does not take effect in the system. Run this command to activate the new or updated license file.

Prerequisites

The new license file has been uploaded to the device.

Follow-up Procedure

AntiDDoS8000: You must run the save command to save the activated license file before system restart, and the system automatically activates the license file after the restart.

Precautions
  • A license file must use .dat as the file name extension and must be stored in the root directory.
  • If no path is specified, the license file in the working path is activated by default.
  • When applying for a license, ensure that the ESN is case sensitive. If the case of the device ESN is different from that of the ESN in the license file, the license file cannot be activated.
  • The license is activated only when the AntiDDoS Equipment Serial Number (ESN) matches the license file.
  • After the license file is activated, it cannot be deleted or renamed.

Example

# AntiDDoS8000 Activate the license file.
