Adding a Collector

After the centralized installation is complete, the ATIC Management center automatically creates a collector. You must manually create collectors during the distributed installation.

Prerequisites

If a new collector needs to be created for the upgraded ATIC management center, you must upgrade the collector to the version corresponding to the ATIC management center using a patch, and then use Configuration Tool to change the value of Manage Center IP Address to the IP address of the ATIC management center. To change the value of Manage Center IP Address, perform the following steps:

In Windows Server 2012, click Start and then . In Apps, select Configuration Tool.
On the IP Config tab page, change the IP address of the management center. Click OK.

Procedure

Choose Defense > Network Settings > Collectors.
On the Collectors page, click .

Set other parameters of the collector. For details, see Table 1.

Parameter		Description	Value
Name		Indicates the collector name.	The name contains a maximum of 32 characters including letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-)and the name cannot be null. It must start with a letter or an underscore (_).
IP Address		Indicates the IP address of the collector.	The IP address is routable to the IP addresses of the FTP server and log server. This parameter cannot be changed during collector modification.

Optional: On the Create Collector page, click Test.
- If the system displays Succeeded in connecting the collector., perform 5.
- If the system displays Failed to connect the collector Possible causes: The IP address of the collector is incorrect, or the collector is not started, or the connectivity error occurs., the ATIC Management center and collector cannot be normally connected. Perform the check according to the displayed cause.
On the Create Collector page, click OK.
After the collector is successfully added, the system displays the Collectors page.
