Creating an AntiDDoS1820-N Cluster

By creating an AntiDDoS1820-N cluster, you can associate multiple AntiDDoS1820-Ns as a whole to detect network traffic. This greatly improves the traffic detection capability.

Prerequisites

  • AntiDDoS1820-Ns to be clustered have been created.
  • The ATIC can communicate with the AntiDDoS1820-Ns. The AntiDDoS1820-Ns can be accessed by the administrator over the network and can be pinged from the ATIC.

If the device cannot be pinged, the "Network is unreachable" message is displayed during device creation.

Procedure

  1. Choose Defense > Network Settings > Devices.
  2. Click .

  3. In the Basic Information area, configure the name and IP address of the AntiDDoS1820-N cluster. Set Device Type to AntiDDoS1820-N Cluster.

    • IP address is the virtual IP address of the AntiDDoS1820-N cluster. It is also the management IP address used by the ATIC to manage the AntiDDoS1820-N cluster.

    • Cluster Communication Key is the encryption key used for communication between member devices in a cluster.

The password shall meet the minimum complexity requirement. That is, the password must contain letters, digits (0 to 9), and special characters (such as ! # $ %). In addition, you shall periodically change the password.

  4. Add member devices and flow source devices to a cluster.

Click . On the Device page, select the AntiDDoS1820-Ns and flow source devices to be added to the cluster.

  5. Click OK. The AntiDDoS1820-Ns and flow source devices added to the cluster are displayed in the Select Device list.
  6. Click OK. The AntiDDoS1820-N cluster is created successfully.
