You can create, query, modify, and delete VLANs. In addition, you can create VLANs in a batch.
Context
- The switch supports 4094 VLANs from VLAN 1 to VLAN 4094.
- VLANs can isolate the hosts that require no communication with each other, which improves network security, reduces broadcast traffic, and suppresses broadcast storms.
Procedure
- Query VLAN information.
- Choose in the navigation tree to open the VLAN page.
- Enter a VLAN ID. If you do not enter any VLAN ID, all VLANs are displayed.
- Click Query to display all matching records.
- Create a VLAN.
- Choose in the navigation tree to open the VLAN page.
- Click New to open the Create VLAN page.

Indicates the IDs of VLANs. The value ranges from 1 to 4094. This parameter is mandatory. You can enter multiple VLAN IDs, for example, 1-3,5,7,9. VLAN 1 is the default VLAN, and the system will not re-create it.

Indicates the description of a VLAN. This parameter is optional. When you create VLANs in a batch, keep the description empty.

- Set parameters.
- Click OK.
- Modify VLAN
- Choose in the navigation tree to open the VLAN page.
- Click the
icon to open the Modify VLAN page.
NOTE: - Table 1 describes the parameters on the page.
- The VLAN ID cannot be changed.
- Set parameters.
- Click OK.
- Delete a VLAN.
- Choose in the navigation tree to open the VLAN page.
- Select a record that you want to delete and click Delete. The system asks you whether to delete the record.
NOTE: - VLAN 1 is the default VLAN and cannot be deleted.
- A VLAN cannot be deleted when it has the VLANIF interface configured.
- Click OK.
