You can query, modify, or delete the configuration of an access interface.
Context
An access interface is connected to user hosts. It is mainly used to connect to access links, and the Ethernet frames transmitted on the access link do not contain VLAN tags. If an access interface is configured with a default VLAN, the
access interface adds a VLAN tag to packets and sets the VID field in the VLAN tag to the default VLAN ID. The access link transmits only the Ethernet frames with the default VLAN ID.
Procedure
- Query an access interface.
- Choose in the navigation tree to open the Access Port page.
- Select an interface type from the drop-down list box.
- Enter the interface number, for example, 0/0/1 (stack ID/subcard ID/interface number).
- Click Query to display all matching records.
- Modify the link type.
- Choose in the navigation tree to open the Access Port page.
- Select the interface whose link type you want to change.
- Click Change Link Type. A dialog box is displayed asking "Modifying the link type will clear VLANs on the selected interface. Continue?"
- Click OK. The Change link type window is displayed.
- The link type includes trunk and hybrid.
- Click OK.
- Clear the VLAN configuration.
- Choose in the navigation tree to open the Access Port page.
- Select the interface configured by the VLAN that you want to clear.
- Click Delete VLANs. A dialog box is displayed asking "Are you sure you want to clear all VLANs and restore the default VLAN ?"
- Click OK.
- Add to a VLAN.
- Choose in the navigation tree to open the Access Port page.
- Select an interface to be added to the VLAN.
- Enter the ID of the VLAN to which you want to add the interface.
- Click Add.
