The mngvlanid command sets the management VLAN of a cluster.
The undo mngvlanid command restores the default management VLAN of a cluster.
The management VLAN is VLAN 1 by default.
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
| vlan-id | Specifies the VLAN ID. | The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 4094. |
On an Commander switch, if the ID of a management VLAN is changed or the management VLAN and its corresponding VLANIF interface are deleted, the cluster is automatically deleted.
If you change the ID of the management VLAN on an Client switch, the Client switch automatically quits the cluster.
After a VLAN is configured as the management VLAN, it is recommended that you use this VLAN only on the cluster and do not use the VLAN for other services such as the Rapid Ring Protection Protocol (RRPP) and multicast services.
