Querying the Compatibility of a Replacement Disk Module

Before replacing a disk module, query the compatibility of the replacement disk module.

Procedure

  1. Query the disk backplane model of the faulty node.

    1. Log in to the iBMC interface of the faulty node.
    2. Choose System > System Info > Others > Drive Backplanes, and query Board ID of the disk backplane.

      If the iBMC versions are inconsistent, log in to the iBMC interface, choose Information > System Info > Other Devices > Drive Backplanes, and query Board ID of the disk backplane.

      • If the board ID is not 0x0073 or 0x0083, go to 4.
      • If the board ID is 0x0073, go to 2.
      • If the board ID is 0x0083, go to 3.

  2. Query the firmware version of the disk backplane on the faulty node.

    1. Log in to the faulty node as user fsadmin. Run the following command and enter the password of user root to switch to user root.
      su - root
    2. Run the following command to query the firmware version of the disk backplane.
      lsscsi -g

      • If the version in the row where enclosu resides in the command output is 331, go to 4.
      • If the version in the row where enclosu resides in the command output is not 331, go to 3.

  3. Query the model of the replacement disk module based on the label of the disk module.

    • If MODE of the replacement disk module is not HUS726T6TALE600 or WUS721010ALE6L4, go to 4.
    • If MODE of the replacement disk module is HUS726T6TALE600 or WUS721010ALE6L4, contact technical support.
