Checking the Status of a Assistant Cooling Unit

Procedure

  1. Wear an ESD wrist strap.
  2. Press the latch of the assistant Cooling Unit, release the handle, and remove the module.
  3. Take the replacement assistant cooling unit out of its ESD bag.
  4. Remove the three fan modules from the old assistant cooling unit and install them on the new one.
  5. Place the removed assistant cooling unit into an ESD bag.
  6. Release the handle of the new assistant cooling unit, insert it into the empty slot until it clicks into place, and close the handle.
  7. Check the status of the assistant cooling unit.

    • If the health status is normal and the running status is online => the module is installed successfully.
    • If the health status is abnormal or the running status is not online => the newly installed module is faulty or does not click into place, or the slot is faulty.
