Checking iSCSI and SAS bit errors

  1. Replace the cables. Check again after the operation is complete.

    • The check is passed. => No further action is required.
    • The check is failed => 2.

  2. Replace the interface module on the host port and then the peer interface module. Check again after the operation is complete.

    • The check is passed => No further action is required.
    • The check is failed => 3.

Checking Fibre Channel bit errors

  1. Replace the cables. Check again after the operation is complete.

    • The check is passed => No further action is required.
    • The check is failed => 2.

  2. Check whether there is an optical module on the host port.

    • Yes => 3.
    • No => 4.

  3. Replace the optical module on the host port and then the peer optical module. Check again after the operation is complete.

  4. Replace the interface module that houses the host port and the module that houses the peer host port. Check again after the operation is complete.
